WHY YOUR SUPPORT MATTERS

Since 2017, the Ukrainian Volunteer Service has been developing a culture of volunteering in Ukraine. Our volunteer community is expanding daily and becoming a driving force for social change. That's why we need to be a steady support for volunteers on the ground. By staying in constant contact with them and providing comprehensive support, we can respond quickly to their needs and strengthen their activities.

By supporting us with voluntary contributions, you support volunteers who provide crucial support across Ukraine. Every dollar you give matters to people who are saving others: from providing psycho-emotional support for the elderly to evacuation from the frontline areas. Your donations strengthen the capacity of volunteers across Ukraine, as they allow us to train them and provide the necessary psycho-emotional, legal, coordination, and financial support.

Together with you, we become steady support for those who consistently prove that a good action has great power. Your support is our strength.

COMMUNITY OF SUPPORTERS

Join our community of Patrons – people who support us with monthly donations on the Patreon platform. These contributions allow us to strengthen local volunteer initiatives, including volunteer projects created by young people from rural communities and those assisting in the temporarily occupied and frontline territories. In return, our Patrons receive regular updates and news about the organization's life, plans, and warm stories of help made possible by their monthly support.

SUPPORTING PEOPLE IN TEMPORARY OCCUPATION

People who stayed in the temporarily occupied territories faced the brutality of the russian military, and a lack of basic food and medicine every day. Thanks to your one-time and regular donations, we continue to support volunteers who are helping the people of Kakhovka, Nova Kakhovka, Berdiansk, and Skadovsk with food packages, necessities, and evacuation despite the danger. While we can not disclose information about the volunteers or their beneficiaries publicly, we continue to provide comprehensive support to them and their initiatives.

Our achievements in numbers

Since the establishment of the UVS in 2017, over seven hundred charitable and non-profit organizations have joined our community, and more than 5 000 activists have graduated from our training programs.

In 2021, together with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and UNICEF Ukraine, Ukrainian Volunteer Service has launched the National Volunteer Platform, an online resource aimed to strengthen the connection between individuals interested in volunteering and non-profit organizations. More than 400 000 Ukrainians have used the platform to search for volunteering opportunities in their regions, including small cities and communities.

With the start of the full-scale war, the Ukrainian Volunteer Service has mobilized more than 100 000 volunteers throughout the country to coordinate humanitarian assistance for people impacted by the russian invasion and support other volunteer organizations depending on their needs. Volunteers provided consultations and direct support both for people in need and organizations that searched for volunteers to provide humanitarian support, evacuation and other services. Also we launched the Palyanytsya.info, an online resource for finding help all over Ukraine, which was used by over 1 000 000 people.

International partners

Our volunteer community is growing every day and becoming a driving force for social change. It's crucial for us to provide continuous support to them. By staying in constant contact with our volunteers, we can respond promptly to their needs and strengthen their activities.

Together we become a resilient support for those who consistently demonstrate the immense power of a good deed. Your support is our strength.

On the occupied territories, people face the cruelty of russian military forces, a lack of basic necessities, and medications on a daily basis. You can support the volunteers who, despite the danger, are helping the local communities in Kahovka, Nova Kahovka, Berdiansk, and Skadovsk. Each of your contributions is a support for those who remain in the occupied territories!

FAQ

How can I find out who my donations help?

We use the funds from charitable contributions to develop the programs of the UVS to be a strong and sustainable support for volunteers from all over the country. In particular, donations enable us to respond effectively to crisis and support volunteers in implementing local initiatives and providing initiatives and providing assistance to those in need. Evacuations from danger zones, targeted support with food packages and medicines, and psycho-emotional support are the daily actions of our volunteer community that make our mission of assistance a reality.

Why is regular support important?

Regular support allows us to respond effectively to crises and challenges, to be a strong and reliable support for volunteers across the country. By joining the monthly support for any amount you like, you not only help volunteers but also receive regular emails with news and updates from the life of the organization, our projects, and trends in Ukrainian volunteering. You can join the community of Patrons from anywhere in the world.

What can I do if I can't help financially?

Get involved in volunteering! It can be in any area where you are willing and able to help. Convert your abilities, knowledge and aspirations into support for those in need. You can find options for realizing your potential in the field of volunteering on the Volunteer Platform, where we collect opportunities from all over Ukraine and help like-minded people find each other. You can also share information about our fundraisers on your social media channels to help us meet the needs faster.

How can I help with fundraising for the UVS?

You can organize your own charity fundraiser, for example, in honor of your birthday. The funds raised can be transferred to our account. For more details, please contact Nataliia Kalantaienko, Head of Partnerships at the Department of Internal Affairs, at n.kalantaienko@volunteer.country.

Cooperation with business

We are always open to cooperation with businesses that share our values and are committed to supporting Ukrainian volunteers.
