Volunteer opportunities

Our volunteer community includes more than 100,000 people who are involved in helping civilians and the military across the country, including the frontline and temporarily occupied territories. We support volunteers who work in various fields: humanitarian aid, education, evacuation, animal protection, fundraising campaigns, online volunteering, etc. Join the Ukrainian Volunteer Service community and create change with us.

1. Getting to know the volunteer community

Every day we publish information about volunteer organizations, projects, and events where we are always waiting for you. To join the volunteer community in your city, click on the “List of city chats” button in the chatbot. Follow the updates!

2. Training for effective volunteering

We conduct high-quality training programs for both newcomers to volunteering and experienced volunteers, educators, and local government officials. We teach the basics of volunteering, safe volunteering, and volunteer project management. Our online courses can be viewed at any time.

3. Legal support for volunteers

Together with the NGO JurStab, we provide professional support on all legal issues for volunteers. You can use the chatbot to get not only an answer to your query, but also templates of the necessary documents. Choose the section “Legal support for volunteers” and get professional advice.

4. Psychological support for volunteers

Together with the Right to Protection CF, we provide volunteers with the opportunity to receive free psychological assistance. We have also collected useful contacts of organizations and initiatives that provide psychological assistance for volunteers who want to strengthen their resilience and take care of their mental health.

5. Financing of volunteer initiatives

To strengthen the volunteer movement, we provide funding in the form of mini-grants and scholarships. Competitions for funding volunteer initiatives are held regularly and are announced both publicly on social media and to the internal volunteer community.

6. Volunteer Agents

Every year, volunteers become leaders of the Ukrainian Volunteer Service community in their cities. Together with the Volunteer Agents, we organize educational events, networking and volunteer events to get to know local organizations and share experiences. The mandate of Volunteer Agents lasts for one year.
